Note: The IP number of
your computer must relate to a host name by way of the DNS chain
polled from here.
If the adverse happens, we can add a
by-pass for you on request.
Our portal fends off all connections
that use the GET method.
A few unlucky users have reported
problems harder than this, and we shall try to solve those too.
Please
report to us, and include:
- the IP4
address of your machine. If your IP is assigned by DHCP, please report the first three
dot-decimal numbers followed by .*
- the
browser you are using
- the http(s)
top domain of your company or institute
- and quote
the line appearing below "Not Found".
If the IP you found starts with
192. it's inside your local network.
If the IP you found starts with 10.
it's a private address not seen in the Internet.
Neither of these is useful. You will need to use an
IP-tracker on the Internet, i.e. outside your institute's or
company's network.
Find one using an Internet search engine with keywords "find my
ip". Or confer with your IT-department.
It will be appreciated for easing our
efforts if you add a line with the purpose and aims of your work.
And if you are going to have a long list of stations, hundreds,
that will require multiple submissions,
a VIP token will be created that saves space here and can help you
to log in and retrieve requests and results even after years have
passed.
Be sure you need to do the formal part, the bullet-list above,
only once. Should further problems appear we can work ahead from
the history of the exchange.
