Problems with TPXO.10 (TPXO10v2a)

This message of April 10, 2026, has turned out to be incorrect:
After having been notified of wildly different loading coefficients in comparison with the other ocean models at OTL server OSO we put it aside until the issue is resolved.

Users who have obtained results from computations with TPXO.10 should not use these in their work. We are not sure whether the problem arises in a specific region or whether it has global reach.

Re-issuing of requests will be necessary, and necessarily with a different model,
e.g. TPXO.9

The problem rather has its source in an inadvertent concept in the Post-processing with refined grids.
Loading coefficients for gravity at depth in oceanic settings are flawed.
They are as if the point positions were at the ocean surface.
Height above sea level in wet and dry settings is considered though.

This is only a problem in the case of calculations at OSO.
Not many users will have been affected. Those that have, however, badly.

A revision of program code is necessary.
A message of installed updated code will be posted on the Welcome page in due time.

Since Monday April 13 8 o'clock a.m. UTC the problems are cured.
